Named after a former President of Turkey, Turgut Özal, who used to holiday here every summer, this scenic and wonderfully simple village has a total population of 549 who make their living from the sea, land and forest.

The entire peninsula is heavily protected by conservation laws, for which we are eternally grateful. It provides a real insight into what we would describe as "the real Turkey"
